Two persons have been reportedly killed in a clash between Hausa traders and task force in Eleme Local Government Area of Rivers State.

It was gathered that, fight started when some indig­enous youths, who operated as task force went to Opaku park in Onne, and demand some payment from Hausa traders who do business there.

According to an eyewit­ness, Mr. Franklin Bobman­uel, the youths flared up and became very angry when the traders declined paying them money; and conse­quently, it resulted to serious fight which led to the death of one of the task force.

The task force when no­ticed that one of them has been killed, became en­raged and started fighting the traders fatally, thereby, causing another death.

It was also gathered that the fight led to the burning of a Mosque and a Church in the area.

The state Police Public Relations Officer, Nnamdi Omoni, who confirmed the incident said, some task force fought with Hausa traders at Onne, adding that the incident led to the burning of a church and a Mosque in the area.
