The Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) has joined other progressive forces in the country to call for the restructuring of the country, even as they call for the practice of true federalism.
In his speech during the official inauguration of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), PFN state executives, the Chairman FCT, PFN, Rev Isaac Komolafe, noted that the nation has lived on falsehood for too long.
According to him, “We join our voices to those who are asking for restructuring of our nation; we have lived in a falsehood for too long. We need to practice true federalism.’’
Rev Komolafe said that the evil of recent past is a concern for the Christian community to reflect decide and wake up to the challenges so as to resist it. He stressed that the fellowship is aware that without the help of God every attempt of man is in vain.
He, however, called on the Federal Government to uphold the rule of law and the supremacy of the national constitution by securing the return of all the Chibok girls and other abducted female minors.
“Anyone involved in this heinous crime against humanity should be made to face the full wrath of law. Unfortunately, we are yet to be informed of any arrest.
On the curriculum, we demand with immediate effect the return of Christian Religion Knowledge (CRK) as a single stand-alone subject’’, the cleric said.
Rev Komolafe also called on the Federal Government to as a matter of urgency, set up high command made of various security agencies to immediately step in to redress the problem of displaced persons and religion centres that have been destroyed.
He called on the Federal Government to create a centre for inter religion dialogue from all the various religious groups in the country.
